Dark Secrets by Elizabeth Chandler

This is another one of the books I received for my birthday in April. It's 2 different stories but they each have similarities such as the mention of one of the town's families and the name of the fortune teller above the town's cafe is the same, but in relation to the characters and main plot, they're different.

Legacy of Lies

Megan has never met her Grandmother, so when she requests her to visit, Megan is understandably suspicious. As she and her brothers were adopted, her Grandmother wants nothing to do with them and from the moment Megan arrives for her stay, she does everything she can to avoid her granddaughter.

Determined to find out why her Grandmother and cousin are so hostile towards her and learning more about the family history from the locals, Megan sets out to uncover the truth behind a family secret, but delving into the past, she discovers more than she could ever have imagined.

A short but gripping read that I could read again and again.

Don't tell

Lauren hasn't been back to Wisteria since her mum drowned there 7 years ago. But after a request from her god-mother to visit, she returns only to find herself experiencing mysterious events similar to those which happened to her mum before she died.

As Lauren struggles to work out what's happening and who's responsible, she begins to find that not everyone can be trusted and starts to wonder whether her mum's death was truly an accident.

I really enjoyed reading this story and read it all in one day as I couldn't put it down.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries.
