The Ides of March - review

Ryan Gosling stars as Stephen Meyers, a young professional working on the campaign trail to get Governor Mike Morris (George Clooney) elected as the new President of the United States.

But while each candidate’s team works on speeches and trying to dig dirt on the others, Stephen discovers a dark secret which could destroy Morris’ future in politics. Does he reveal it or use this secret to get himself further up the political career ladder?

With a supporting cast including Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei & Evan Rachel Wood, I expected this film to be a lot better than it was, but unfortunately I was lost in all the political jargon for most of the film & although I managed to work out what was going on by the end, I found myself waiting for the credits to roll.

If you’re looking for a film to keep you gripped this isn’t the one for you.
