Arthur (2011) - review

In a remake of the 1981 movie starring Dudley Moore, Russell Brand takes on the title role of Arthur, a lazy, drinking ladies man with a rich inheritance who relies totally on his nanny ‘Hobson’ (Helen Mirren).

With his inheritance at stake unless he marries the woman his mother has chosen for him, Arthur tries to find someone else to marry whilst having fun and finds himself falling for Naomi Quinn, a Manhattan tour guide who likes having just as much fun as Arthur.

Russell Brand brings the fun and mischief to his role that makes Arthur the kind of man you would want to hang out with.

I really enjoyed this movie and it’s now one of the favourites within the DVD collection.
