The feel good movie sequel to the smash hit comedy ‘Nativity’.
Nativity 2 follows the class of St Bernadette’s as they
decide to enter the Song for Christmas competition, but after scaring off all
their supply teachers Mrs Bevan refuses to enter them without a permanent teacher.
Enter Mr Peterson (David Tennant), an eager to please
teacher who is nervously expecting the birth of his first child with his wife
(Joanna Page).
After Mr Poppy promises to allow him into the class ‘gang’
if he lets them enter the competition, Mr Peterson finds himself onboard an
adventure of fun & songs accompanied by a baby and a stray donkey as the
class make their way to Wales to sing.
Aware that rival school Oakmoor & Mr Peterson’s twin
brother’s choir are also entering, the class know they need to make sure St Bernadette’s
is the school to beat, but with no idea of where they’re going, they end up
lost and face a battle against time and the weather to get to the castle in
time to sing.
Co-starring Marc Wootton as the brilliant and energetic Mr
Poppy, Pam Ferris, Jason Watkins & Jessica Hynes, this movie has all the comedy
and laughter of the first film.
Nativity 2 is an enjoyable watch that will definitely make its
way into my DVD collection.
