Gwen & Eddie are the ‘It couple’ of America both in the
movies and off-screen, but when they split before their latest movie is
released, those close to them try to re-unite them for the cameras.
With the launch of the movie taking place in a resort miles
away, Gwen’s sister / assistant and Eddie’s press officer do their best to
re-unite the couple without the prying eyes of the press, but with Gwen’s
reluctance it looks like they’re getting nowhere until Eddie does fall back in
love, but it’s not with Gwen.
With Catherine Zeta Jones & John Cusack as the leading
couple, it’s Julia Roberts & Billy Crystal who really shine in this movie
of how things on screen can be so different to what’s true off screen.
This was more enjoyable than I thought, but it’s not the
best movie I’ve seen starring Julia Roberts – she’s done better.
