Adam Sandler is Michael Newman, a workaholic family man who is determined to succeed at work, but in the process neglects his family.

In a chance meeting with shop assistant Morty (Christopher Walken), Michael is handed a universal remote control which he discovers controls his life – he can pause, fast forward or rewind any part he chooses which at first he finds really helpful.

But as he begins to fast forward through family arguments, sickness, meetings he realises he’s still missing out on family life and huge chunks of his life are passing him by.

As he tries to stop using the remote he learns that it’s started to work automatically and ends up missing years of his life at a time including his father’s death, his children growing up and his marriage break up.

Co-starring Kate Beckinsale and David Hasselhoff, this comedy drama is a great family watch which I would recommend.
