Mystery Woman - review

When photographer Samantha Kinsey’s uncle dies, she inherits his mystery book store containing only detective and mystery stories. Having read them all, Samantha is convinced she could solve a real life murder and when her former professor turned real life crime author Jack Stenning seemingly commits suicide in a locked room, she is determined to prove otherwise.

With the police believing Jack’s death was suicide Samantha uses her knowledge of detective fiction and digs into his life discovering he was due to release a new book detailing a real life murder which occurred years before, but with the manuscript now missing she has no idea which one.

Along with the help of Jack’s psychic daughter Tracy and her DA friend Cassie, Samantha returns to the book store in the hope of finding help among the thousands of mystery books and with the help of a futuristic fictional detective she’s certain she has solved the case.

But will the police believe her version of events?

Co-starring Robert Wagner as Jack Stenning, I really enjoyed this TV mystery movie.

As this is the first in a series of mystery movies, I will definitely be tuning in again.
