As fashion king Sam Stone plots with his lover about how to
kill her wife, he is pleasantly surprised when he returns home to find that she
has been kidnapped. With the kidnappers threatening to kill her unless Sam pays
the ransom, Sam knows exactly what to do – nothing.
In the hope of getting Sam back for stealing Sandy’s fashion
ideas, Barbara is kept chained up in a basement, but unbeknown to Ken and Sandy
, their plan fits in well with Sam – he would like nothing more than for his
wife to be killed so he can use her money to settle into a new life with his
lover.
As Ken and Sandy continue to get try and get money out of
Sam for the safe return of his wife, Sam has no hesitation in not paying, but when
Barbara discovers that Sam doesn’t want her back, she forms a bond with Ken and
Sandy to hit Sam where it hurts – his bank balance.
A hilarious 1980’s comedy starring Danny Devito, Bette
Midler and Judge Reinhold which I found fun and great to watch.
