College Road Trip - review

Family fun comedy starring Martin Lawrence as an over-protected dad to his teenage daughter Melanie (Raven Symoné).

As Melanie graduates high school she has plans to attend Georgetown University along with her friends, but with the University being so far away, both her mum and dad are keen for her to stay closer to home.

With ambitions in politics Melanie decides to take a road trip to Georgetown, but doesn’t count on her police chief dad tagging along as he does all he can to put her off moving away from home.

On the way Melanie agrees to visit other colleges to satisfy her dad, but when they discover her younger brother stowed away in the boot of the car and end up crashing, they join up with a show tunes loving father and daughter also on their way to visit universities who take every opportunity to burst into song and make their trip one to remember.

Co-starring Donny Osmond and providing plenty of laughs on the way, this was a fun comedy which I really enjoyed.
