Now You See Me - review

Inspired by British magician Dynamo, Now You See Me is an intriguing movie of magic and suspense guaranteed to entertain.

Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, Michael Caine & Morgan Freeman, the movie focuses on 4 master illusionists who having honed their individual skills are brought together by a mysterious person who leaves tarot cards at their performances. As they unite, they become the 4 Horsemen funded by millionaire Arthur Tressler to perform sell out shows across the globe.

When the team appear to rob a Paris bank during a show in Las Vegas and shower the audience with the proceeds, the FBI are quickly on their tail and with the help of documentary maker Thaddeus Bradley who spends his time exposing magic tricks, the agents are encouraged to ‘look at the bigger picture’.

As the group continue to perform, Agent Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo) begins to suspect his partner from Interpol Alma Dray may not be all she seems when the group manage to evade arrest, but when the horsemen announce their biggest stunt yet, Dylan & Alma must work together to find out whether magic really does exist.

I was really looking forward to watching this movie and it didn’t disappoint. With a great twist at the end that no one would expect, I will definitely be adding this movie to my DVD collection.
