Cheaper by the dozen 2 - review

The Bakers are back, but this time all the children are pulling away from family activities meaning Tom is feeling left out. With Nora & Bud preparing to become first time parents and Lorraine getting ready to move to New York for college, Tom feels one more family holiday is what everyone needs before they fly the nest.

Despite reservations everyone agrees to visit the house at Lake Winetka where the family have holidayed before, but this time instead of their house being the only one within miles, across the lake is a private lake house advertising all the fun the kids could wish for.

As they settle in Tom is keen to do as many family activities as possible, but when the family are offered the chance to spend time at the lake house Tom recognises Jimmy Murtagh, the head of a rival family of 8 who are the best at everything.

With the kids getting on and keen to spend time together, Tom is determined for the Baker family to bond, but true to form as both families try to out-do each other, things don’t go to plan causing chaos and mayhem as they find themselves head to head in the annual Lake competition.

With Steve Martin & Bonnie Hunt returning as the head of the Baker family and Eugene Levy starring as Jimmy Murtagh, this movie was fun and made me laugh without being over the top – definitely one I would watch again.
