My Spy - review

When Henry (Colin Hanks) leaves for on assignment with the FBI he leaves his depressed overweight mother behind, but when he returns 3 years later he is shocked to find she has transformed herself into an attractive, up-beat fun woman who is enjoying dating several men at the same time.

As he adjusts to his mother’s new outlook on life, Henry introduces her to his fiancĂ©e Emily, a fellow agent who Marty welcomes to the family and while on a day out together they meet Tommy, a mysterious man who wastes no time in charming Marty into spending time with him.

While Marty enjoys spending time with Tommy, Henry is given a new assignment which involves looking out for international art thieves who are thought to be targeting a new art exhibition, but when he is shown the 3 suspects he is shocked to discover that Tommy is one of them.

Armed with the knowledge that his mother is dating an art thief and sworn to secrecy by his boss, Henry is tasked with setting up surveillance and bugging his mother’s house in order to protect her, but as Tommy becomes an ever increasing presence in Marty’s life, can Henry really keep quiet?

Starring Meg Ryan, Antonio Banderas & Selma Blair, I enjoyed this comedy action movie and would defiantly watch it again.
