Nightmare Nanny - review

Amber & Jake are a young couple in love who are near to welcoming their first child into the world when they are involved in a car crash causing their unborn child to die.

Three years later married couple Anne & Ben Gerson are on the lookout for a nanny when they realise the only way they can survive financially is for Anne to return to work following her time at home with their 3 year old daughter Jenny.

After a succession of failed interviews, Amber turns up having seen Jenny and Anne at the playground together and using the name of another applicant – Julie – who conveniently disappears before the interviews, she gets the job.

As ‘Julie’ throws herself into looking after Jenny, she relishes the time she gets to spend with her - going to the park and baking cookies, but when she begins to push the boundaries of her role by taking Jenny for swimming lessons, cooking meals for the family & flirting with Ben, Ann starts to become suspicious.

However despite Ben trying to reassure her that Julie is just being attentive, her fears may be well placed when Jenny disappears from the local park soon followed by Julie.

A slightly predictable TV thriller, but still worth watching.
