Marley & Me - review

After moving to Florida, Journalists John (Owen Wilson) and Jenny (Jennifer Anniston) Groban have a plan; to find a home and jobs.

With both things complete, Jenny feels ready to take on more responsibility, so in a bid to stave off her maternal instincts, John purchases a puppy, but he has no idea what they’ve let themselves in for.

With a fast growing puppy who seems incapable of discipline, John struggles at work when he learns his friend is writing hard hitting news stories while he is offered the chance to write a weekly column, but after putting up with Marley at home, John finds inspiration from his daily life with the dog.

As the couple learn to live with their hectic lives, Jenny discovers their family is about to grow when she learns she’s pregnant and 3 children later they find themselves struggling again with work and life commitments, but John knows he’ll always have Marley to confide in who’s been there through thick and thin.

Based on the true story of journalists John and Jenny Groban, I really enjoyed this movie and would watch it again.
