Problem Child - review

Junior is a menace child. Abandoned at birth and passed around as he grows up due to his mischievous behaviour, he is finally placed in the care of a strict orphanage run by nuns, but that doesn’t stop him.

With no intention of playing by the rules, Junior continues to cause havoc to the point where the nuns want him out leaving Mr Peabody the task of trying to find someone to adopt him.

Enter Ben and Flo, a childless couple who have been told they can’t have their own and are desperate to fit in with the neighbourhood by being  invited to local parties and events, so when they approach Mr Peabody in the hope of adopting a child, he takes the opportunity to offload Junior onto them.

Delighted to finally have a child, the couple can’t wait to show him off to their neighbours, but within hours of his arrival Junior shows his true colours letting Ben and Flo know they have no idea what they’ve let themselves in for.

A family fun comedy starring the late John Ritter and a great performance from Michael Oliver.
