The trials of Cate McCall - review

When recovering alcoholic lawyer Cate McCall is given the case of Lacey Stubbs, a young woman convicted of murder, she must battle her own demons if she is to secure a victory.

With a custody battle ongoing for her daughter, Cate relies heavily on her sponsor as she works on proving Lacey was set up by the police and wrongly convicted, while trying to prove she no longer needs to be on probation from the bar.

Haunted by a previous case of wrongful conviction, Kate is determined to prove Lacey innocent, but as soon as she wins her case she begins to doubt her efforts and wonders whether history really did repeat itself.

Legal drama starring Kate Beckinsale which surprised me by not gripping me as much as I’d hoped, although still worth a watch.
