The Truth about Emanuel - review

Emanuel sees herself as a murderer because on the day she was born, her mum died. Brought up by her dad and now living with a step-mum, Emanuel isn’t a happy teenager and walks through life without allowing it to make an impact on her.

With distant relationships with everyone she knows, Emanuel is intrigued when new neighbour Linda moves in with her young baby.

Volunteered by her step-mum to babysit, Emanuel and Linda strike up a very close relationship, but when Emanuel discovers a dark secret their relationship is threatened.

This thriller was a bit slow at the start and confusing in places, but it was an interesting story.

Starring Kaya Scodelario, Alfred Molina and Jessica Biel I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it if you don’t mind watching something strange.
