My first official blog!
This is my first ever blog on here, so forgive me if it's not the highest standard of writing!I found out about this site by googleing for ideas of where to write online as i wanted somewhere to put my thoughts and also allow other people to be able to view them - if they so want.I keep a handwritten diary which i try to update daily but when i come home from a long day at work, sometimes the last thing i feel like doing is writing about how crap my day was. All i wanna do is sit in front of the tv with my fluffy 'snow boot' slippers on and relax.I started writing a diary when i was in the last couple of years of secondary school. My first diary was my old physics exercise book. It only had a couple of pages of work in it and as i wasn't planning on becoming a scientist, i ripped them out and put a new cover on it. First of all i was constantly writing about anything and everything, but soon i lost interest and my entries became less and less, but i'll never give it up as i think handwriting is a dying art. We're all getting too obsessed (including me) with emailing, texting and blogging. Blogs are taking over from carefully handwritten diaries which someday may become valuable to grandkids or friends.That's how i like to think about my diaries. One day they may provide inspiration for a story i write or they may just gather dust in the attic until my children find them and read all about what mummy did when she was younger. I wouldn't mind either way but i hope they'll be used for something.Hopefully i'll write on here everyday, but as i've already mentioned the habit does wear off and you may find that sometimes there will be a few posts a week and then you may have to wait a couple of weeks to find out what's been happening and what i've been thinking.I like to think positive about things so if i haven't posted a blog for a while it should mean that i'm too busy doing something else or having too much fun to write, but in my case it might just mean that i can't be bothered!Anyway, i think that's enough to bore any potential readers out there at the moment, but i'm sure i'll be back to update soon.
