Attempting to (& failing) to lose weight!


Yet again the weekend has disappeared before I could enjoy it, but I did acheive something which I have been wanting to for a while, though I wasn't sure if I would have the motivation or could be bothered! But I did. I set up Wii Fit and did 36 minutes of continuous exercise - that's more that I've probably done in my entire life so far!


I do not exercise at all so it was quite surprising even to me that I wanted to give it a go, but I have a reason. I'm hoping to go away for a week around Easter and I really love to go swimming, but my legs are a bit too wobbly for my liking, so I thought I would try and tone them up - and I'm hoping from the aching I've suffered so far it's working already!


I did a bit of everything available, but concentrated mostly on the fat burning exercises which included jogging - I still can't believe I survived it even though it was a 'short' distance! - step up & hula hooping. I did the step up so many times that I unlocked the next level which was the same but included stepping on sideways and stepping and kicking the opposite leg, which I have to admit confused me a bit and I lost all sense of timing and rhythm! I did a few yoga poses which I think made me look stupid - I hope no one walking past the window saw me - but I could definately feel my muscles stretching - or maybe I was thinking about how much I wanted to reach for the biscuit tin in the kitchen - not sure which!


I did the body checks twice, once at the beginning which told me my Wii Fit age was 29, and then after my exercise which told me I had lowered my Wii Fit age by 4 years! So I'm hoping by the time Easter comes my Wii Fit age will match my actual age, I've just to get some willpower and stop eating biscuits when I come home before tea!
