Great read

I've just finished reading my first book in ages and I would definately recommend it to anyone. It's called 'Kissed by an Angel' and is written by Elizabeth Chandler. I saw it in a bookstore when I was in Weymouth for the weekend a while ago and though I liked the sound of it from reading the blurb on the back, I wasn't sure whether I would get into it enough to read the whole book - as it's really thick. But I ended up getting it as a present for Christmas and since then, though I haven't been reading it constantly, I haven't been able to put it down and finished it yesterday.
I was surprised at the twists near the end but I am glad I had the chance to read it as I really enjoyed it.

I used to always have a book on the go, especially when I was younger, but since starting work - though that was 3 years ago! - I haven't seemed to be able to get into one and read it all the way through.
The last book I read, but didn't finish was Inkheart and I only bought that because I watched and enjoyed the film, but that was the problem. Because I'd seen the film I couldn't get the actors out of my head and everytime there was something different in the book I couldnt get my head round where in the story I was, so in the end I read most of it, but gave up about 2 thirds of the way through. One day I might go back to it, but make sure I don't watch the film before it!

My next book, which I will hopefully get into as much as the last one, is called 'A Hollywood Ending' by Robyn Sisman which according to the blurb is about a spoilt hollywood star who flees to London when her career and personal life start to crumble and follows her as she has to adapt to life without her entourage, driver and learning to pay for things herself. It sounds like a good read and I'm hopefully going to start reading it today, but first I have to update my handwritten diary and read about all the celebrity gossip in the newspaper and on the internet as I like to be up to date with what's going on in the world!

Until next time......
