Brett Eisenberg (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is a young eager book editor working hard to get her authors recognised. But when she keeps getting upstaged by authors edited by well known playboy Archie Knox (Alec Baldwin), she begins to wonder whether she's made for the cut throat world of editing.
After a chance meeting, Brett begins to fall for Archie's charm and as they embark on a relationship she willingly takes his advice on her job, but with his well known history with women and the fact he's nearly as old as her dad, Brett starts to reconsider whether he's right for her and her career.
I wasn't really sure what this film was about, but I'd seen it a few times in the shops and decided to try it on my week off work. I rented it so I didn't waste money if I didn't like it, but after seeing it I would definitely go and buy it. It's one of those films that you could watch over and over again and not get bored with even though you'd know exactly what happens next.
I would recommend this film if you liked The Devil Wears Prada - another film I could watch again & again!
