Burlesque

As a small town girl with a big voice and huge ambitions, Ally knows that to make her dreams come true she needs to take control.

With a one way ticket to LA she sets off to make it big as a singer, but she soon learns that it's harder to get noticed when you're not the only one with talent. As her dreams begin to fade, Ally's determined not to give up and on a walk around town she finds the Burlesque lounge.

Filled with scantily clad beauties miming and dancing on stage, Ally realises this is here she belongs. But with the club facing closure and the owner Tess not hiring, she faces a battle to get noticed.

Step in guy liner loving bar-tender Jack who gives her a chance as a waitress allowing her to watch and learn from the performers and when she finally persuades Tess to let her become a dancer, she's determined to show she's worth the chance. But with former favourite Nikki jealous, she sabotages Ally's performance, but little does she know Ally can sing as well as she dances and Ally shows Tess that giving someone a small chance can change a lot.

Starring Cher, Christina Aguilera and Stanley Tucci, Burlesque is a glitzy, glamourous fun filled movie that had me dancing in my seat.
