Following on from the International Bestseller 'Kissed by an Angel', Evercrossed picks up with Ivy a year after Tristan's death.
In Cape Cod for the summer with trusted friends Will & Beth, Ivy is preparing for how she will cope with the upcoming anniversary of Tristan's death, but when a car accident leaves Ivy potentially fighting for her life, she is briefly re-united with him as her spirit begins to float away from her body.
As they share a kiss and he tells her 'I'll always be with you', she returns to her body and miraculously escapes the crash with no injuries. But while she recovers from the shock, Ivy can't shake off the feeling that Tristan has returned to life and a chance meeting with a mysterious boy in the same hospital confirms to Ivy that Tristan is back. But Beth and Will aren't convinced and warn her that while he seems friendly, he might not be all that he seems.
This book had me hooked from the start as I was eager to find out what would happen to Ivy following the end of the previous book and I wasn't disappointed. I was only disappointed when it ended as it seemed to end just as the story was heating up, but I'll have to keep an eye open for the next one in the series.
