Michael - review

John Travolta stars as Michael, an archangel who becomes the interest of two tabloid reporters following a tip off.

Joined by Dorothy Winters (Andie MacDowall) a supposed ‘angel expert’, Frank & Huey make their way from Chicago to Iowa to investigate whether Michael is real or a hoax. But when they get there they are surprised that not only is he real, he’s not the stereotypical angel – he smokes, drinks beer & has a tendency to swear.

I remember seeing parts of this film, but I’d never had the chance to see the whole movie, so when I saw it was on I made sure I could watch it all. John Travolta is brilliant in his delivery of a smoking, drinking archangel and I enjoyed the quips he would come out with. Along with the comedy there are spots of drama which makes this movie definitely one to watch.

Having seen John Travolta in both comedy & serious roles, I am definitely a fan and this movie didn’t disappoint.
