Hugo - review

Set in 1930’s Paris, Hugo tells the story of an orphan living and working in a Parisian train station.

With his alcoholic uncle absent, Hugo has to fend for himself while working throughout the day making sure the clocks run on time and trying to avoid the station master (Sacha Baron Cohen) who has a hotline to the local orphanage.

When he’s not working Hugo is determined to fix a mechanical boy which is the only thing he has left of his dad by stealing parts from around the station, but by doing this he has made an enemy of the toy shop owner (Ben Kingsley).

With the help of a friend Hugo manages to fix the boy, but in the process unveils a mystery linking him to the toy shop owner.

I was slightly disappointed with this film as I was expecting it to be a lot better than it was. It was also far too long at over 2 hours.
