Dennis Quaid stars in this family comedy as Dan Foreman, an
advertising executive who faces being demoted when the company is taken over
and discovers his new boss, Carter Duryea (Topher Grace), is half his age.
As Carter attempts to deal with his marriage breakup, he
latches onto Dan in order to use his experience to help improve the company and
after inviting himself along to a family meal he meets and begins to fall for
Dan’s daughter Alex.
With staff being laid off, Dan feels it may be time to move
on, but when his wife surprises him with the news she is pregnant and his
eldest daughter reveals she wants to transfer to university in New York, he realises
how much his family relies on him and is determined to keep his job.
But while Dan is striving to do all to keep the job he’s
enjoyed for 25 years and continue participating in family life, Carter is secretly
dating Alex behind Dan’s back and begins to reconsider his career choice.
Co-starring Scarlett Johansson and Marg Helgenberger (CSI:
Crime Scene Investigation), this comedy drama was enjoyable and definitely
worth watching.
I enjoyed this right from the start and would recommend it.
