Over her dead body - review

On the day of Henry and Kate’s wedding everything is ready, but Kate can’t help fussing and when an incorrect ice sculpture is delivered, an argument with the delivery man unfortunately ends with a freak accident causing Kate’s death.

A year later Henry is still struggling with his grief, so in an attempt to allow him to move on with life his sister Chloe persuades him to visit a psychic in the hope Kate will pass on a message, but things don’t quite go to plan.

While no messages come through during the reading, Kate later visits part time psychic part time caterer Ashley believing her unfinished business is to prevent Henry finding someone new and with an obvious spark detected between them, she therefore warns Ashley against starting a relationship with Henry.

Ashley has received psychic messages before, but this is her first encounter with a ghost, however she’s determined not to allow Kate to ruin her chances with Henry, but that’s easier said than done. With Kate constantly hanging around and doing everything she can to annoy Ashley, she begins to wonder whether Henry is worth it. But that decision might be made for her when Henry discovers Chloe gave her information about Kate before their session together.

When Kate’s interference finally gets too much for her to cope with, Ashley ends her relationship with Henry in the hope it will allow Kate to move on and with the realisation that her supposedly gay catering partner is actually in love with her, she feels she needs a break from relationships.

But when Kate discovers she mis-understood the purpose of her unfinished business – to ensure Henry’s happiness - is it too late for her to reconnect Henry and Ashley?

An enjoyable and funny rom-com starring Eva Longoria-Parker, Paul Rudd & Jason Biggs which I would definitely watch again.
