The Switch - review

Singletons Kassie (Jennifer Aniston) and Wally (Jason Bateman) are best friends, so when Kassie decides she wants to have a child she confides in him. Having no husband or partner Kassie wants Wally’s help in choosing her ‘donor’, but he has a hard time accepting her methods.

When Kassie successfully finds a man to help she throws a party to celebrate, but when Wally drunkenly spills the sperm, he quickly replaces it with his own not thinking about the consequences. With no recollection of the night or his actions, Wally carries on with his daily life of working in the stock market and he’s happy for her when Kassie tells him she’s pregnant.

As she moves back home to be closer to her family, Wally has no idea Kassie will be giving birth to his child, but when she and her son Sebastian return to the city 7 years later he can’t help but see similarities to himself.

While they spend time together Wally’s memory starts to return of ‘that night’ and when he realises he is Sebastian’s father he wants them to become a family, but with Kassie starting a relationship with her donor, can he really tell her the truth?

Predictable rom-com which wasn’t as comedic as I had hoped.
