Along Came Polly - review

Uptight and organised Risk Assessor Ruben can’t wait to marry his sweetheart Lisa, but when she sleeps with their scuba diving instructor on the first day of their honeymoon, he returns home dumbstruck at his short marriage.

Determined to help him out, best friend and former child actor Sandy takes Ruben to an art exhibition in the hope of taking his mind off Lisa and when they meet old school friend Polly working as a waitress, Ruben feels ready to move on.

Inspired by her free spirit, Ruben spends time with Polly in the hope of getting to know her better, but he’s not prepared for the un-organised way she lives her life. Spending time eating in ethnic restaurants, visiting salsa clubs and always losing her keys, Polly takes life as it comes and doesn’t plan for the future which is the complete opposite to Ruben.

Despite their differences Ruben & Polly enjoy each other’s company, but when Lisa returns and begs Ruben to take her back, he has a decision to make – does he go back to Lisa who had no trouble cheating on him or Polly, the risky go-getter who has taught him how to live life?

With Ben Stiller & Jennifer Aniston playing the lead roles, this rom-com is a good watch which I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
