Out of Sight - review

George Clooney is Frank Folley, a hapless bank robber who after being caught and thrown in jail yet again, doesn’t plan on staying around for long, so with the help of a former cellmate, Frank manages to escape.

But as soon as Frank has tasted freedom he discovers they are being watched by US Marshal Karen Cisco (Jennifer Lopez).

With no time to think, Karen is quickly bundled into the trunk of her own car alongside Frank who despite the situation wastes no time in turning on the charm.

As they reach their destination, Frank admits his attraction to Karen, but as he’s reminded of being on the run, Karen is left behind and although her own attraction is clear, after another escape Karen makes it her mission to track Frank down.

Billed as a comedy crime caper, Out of Sight starring George Clooney as a similar character to Danny Ocean in Ocean’s Eleven, in my opinion is nothing to be proud of.

With none of the slickness or skill of any crime films I have previously watched, this movie falls short of being entertaining or worth watching, but despite this, it doesn’t seem to have done any damage to George’s career.
