Shannon
can’t wait for her dream wedding to fiancée Jack, but when he jilts her at the
altar she’s devastated. With a honeymoon to a remote island booked, Shannon
fears the trip will be wasted until her journalist mother hears who owns the
island.
With
the 25th anniversary of Marla’s magazine coming up and no cover
story, she jumps at the chance to try and interview Nick Tercel, the reclusive
former astronaut who owns the island and persuades Shannon to let her join her.
So
while Shannon tries to enjoy her honeymoon without a husband, Marla tries her
best to secure a scoop, but with only the staff at the hotel knowing what Nick
looks like, determined Marla will have to put her undercover and journalistic
skills to the test if she’s to get the story everyone wants.
I
enjoyed this movie as a gentle rom-com, but I wouldn’t rush to watch it again.
