Based
on a true story, novelist Beverly Lowry struggles to deal with the recent death
of her teenage son and finds herself forming an unlikely friendship with a
death row inmate.
As
she spends time with murderer Karla Fay Tucker, Beverley begins to rediscover
her fighting spirit and so starts a campaign to get Karla’s execution put off,
all the while finding their friendship a comfort as she begins to deal with her
grief.
Starring
Diane Keaton as Beverley, this TV movie was interesting to watch and even
though it was based on a true story, I found it hard to fathom how meeting with
a convict unconnected to the death of her son would have helped Beverley.
