The Nightmare at the end of the hall - review

Schoolgirls Courtney and Jayne are best friends, so when Jayne is found hanged Courtney can’t believe she didn’t confide her problems to her.

17 years later Courtney is a best-selling author having written a book about her time at Douglas Academy Boarding School and finds herself invited to become the artist in residence having attended a school reunion.

At first Courtney is reluctant to return to the place she has managed to move on from, but following encouragement from the head-teacher – a former teacher – she takes on the role.

Despite initial reservations Courtney begins to settle in, but she soon finds herself struggling to separate memory from reality when one of her pupils looks remarkably like Jayne and her past comes back to haunt her.

Brilliant TV thriller with a great twist – definitely worth a watch.
