Reasonable Doubt - review

When lawyer Mitch Brockden (Dominic Cooper) is involved in a hit and run which ends with the death of the victim, he knows that if he’s found out as being drunk at the wheel his future will be over, so despite calling 911, he does everything he can to prevent being found out.

As the police investigate, loner Clinton Davis is picked out as being involved and Mitch is tasked with prosecuting him knowing full well he’s innocent, but manages to get him off on a technicality.

However, as Clinton is freed, Mitch begins to piece together previously unsolved crimes similar to injuries sustained by the victim of the hit and run and realises that although he didn’t cause the death of Cecil Ackerman, Clinton may not be as innocent as he first thought.

This thriller held my attention right until the end, but unfortunately it ended too soon.

Although it barely reached 90 minutes, I would definitely recommend this movie featuring a great & tense performance from Samuel L Jackson.
