Smoke Screen - review

When top news reporter Britt Shelley wakes up next to a dead body following a night she can’t remember, she quickly becomes the number one suspect for murder.

With only snippets of memories from the night before, Britt tells the police that she met with Jay, a top cop who along with other policemen became known for their heroics when they rescued people from a police station fire 5 years ago, as he wanted to give her a lead to a story, but after having a drink in a bar, she has no memory of what happened next.

Kidnapped that night by former fire investigator Raley Gannon, Britt identifies with him as someone else who woke up next to a dead body and as they work together to find out whether the cases are connected, they also discover something else about the ‘Police Station hero’s’.

But with a warrant out for her arrest after Jay’s autopsy confirms he was murdered and her life in danger from unidentified men with guns, Britt and Raley must work together quickly and quietly if they’re to clear both their names.

This TV movie was a good watch, but wasn’t as intriguing as I’d hoped.

Although I didn’t guess the person responsible, I felt it could have had a bit more mystery and suspense to really grip me until the end, but despite this I enjoyed watching it.
