No one ever really got to know the Lisbon girls, but that didn't stop the local boys becoming completed obssessed with them.
With their strict parents not allowing them to experience teenage life, everyone is shocked when the girls are allowed out for the school dance and the most surprising things if how normal they are. With all the rumours surrounding them, the girls are keen to have fun and experience as much as they can on the only date they ever have.
Once trapped back in the mundane routine of their sheltered lives, they begin to disappear from view. Slowly the house and family disintegrate and survive solely amongst themselves. Eventually the girls find a way to escape forever, but that's exactly what it is, forever.
Twenty years later the local boys recall how the sisters became all they thought about, even though they only saw them from a distance, and how the deaths of 5 young girls not only affected the locals, but highlighted an issue which affects more teenagers than people realise.
