Tipping Point - review

Starting with Nina Patterson standing on the edge of a roof determined she can fly; this TV thriller started off well, but soon became predictable.

4 years later Nina is a technician working in the MRI department of a hospital alongside her surgeon uncle before starting medical school to become a doctor. With a diagnosis of schizophrenia, Nina is grateful for the chance of a job and is determined to prove herself to everyone.

When Nina is asked to take one last MRI before she leaves, she is happy to help out and with the patient nervous and asking if he is ill or not, Nina tries to reassure him knowing that his scan is clear, so she’s surprised when she reads in the paper a few weeks later that he has died from a brain tumour.

With her suspicions raised, Nina asks to see his medical records, but when she’s told that they’re missing and her uncle tells her she must have missed the tumour, she starts to doubt herself and is scared when her uncle tells her she is becoming ill again.

As her uncle and dad become worried about her, Nina is determined to prove she didn’t mess up and isn’t ill. So supported by her new boyfriend Jimmy she starts to investigate whether her uncle had a hand in Michael’s death, but with her uncle telling her she is ill and old symptoms starting to return, Nina begins to wonder whether her illness has returned.
