Daddy Day Care - review

When Charlie Hinton’s wife goes back to work after having their child Ben, they begin the search for a pre-school, but find the only one suitable is very expensive and lacks the main element of childhood – fun. With pupils learning languages and acting like adults they know it’s not really for them, but with 2 full time jobs there’s not much choice and Ben is enrolled.

At work as a successful advertising exec, Charlie faces the challenge of promoting a vegetable cereal to children alongside good friend Phil, but when their department is closed down and their jobs are cut, they end up unemployed and looking after their young sons together.

As they spend their days bonding over how to look after children, they come upon an idea to start a day care centre in order to help out other busy parents while also making money, but they don’t count on how hard it is to keep young hyperactive children under control when you have no idea what you’re doing!

With competition from the posh day care, the men know they have to step it up in order to keep going and when child services come knocking on the door, they discover that what started as a stop gap to fill unemployment has become their calling and they’re determined to give it all they’ve got.

A fun family comedy starring Eddie Murphy and Angelica Houston which included some laugh out loud moments as well as really cute kids!
