Christmas in Wonderland - review

Patrick Swayze stars as Wayne Saunders, a father of three who recently moved from Los Angeles to Edmonton with his family. But when they arrive on Christmas Eve with his wife stuck at the airport back in LA, he realises it’s down to him to organise Christmas.

With no presents or food, the family take off to the mall where the children are left to their own devices, but while enjoying a skate on the indoor ice rink, the youngest two come across a bag of counterfeit money and waste no time in spending it.

But as they enjoy their impromptu spending spree buying everything they set their eyes on, the owners of the money are desperate to get it back and will stop at nothing to ensure they do, resulting in a chase and battle of wits throughout the mall.

The title of this movie was misleading as nothing about it took part in a wonderland – it was a shopping mall which to some people maybe a wonderland, but not for me.

This movie was slightly far-fetched and silly with Tim Curry struggling to keep to his Scottish accent, but it provided light entertainment.
