Daddy Day Camp - review

As a sequel to Daddy Day Care, Cuba Gooding Jr takes over the role of Charlie Hinton from Eddie Murphy in this family fun follow up.

Following the success of their day care, Charlie & good friend Phil are riding high, but when they discover the summer camp they enjoyed during childhood is now run down leaving them no option but to send their children to the camp of a rival, they realise it’s up to them to create an alternative.

With the camp in desperate need of repair, Charlie & Phil club together to get it up and running as quickly as possible, but before they’re ready, children start arriving expecting to have a fun summer.

As they try to make do with the nature around them, Lance Warner – the owner of rival camp Canola & childhood rival of Charlie – challenges the camp to an Olympiad to prove once and for all which camp is the best.

With no hope of winning, Charlie calls in his secret weapon - his military trained father whose knowledge of the great outdoors can’t be beaten. The only problem is, he and Charlie don’t get on, but surely they can put aside their differences for the sake of a summer full of childhood fun?

This movie was fun and showed that children can have just as much fun outside without the need for video games. A great family movie.
