Before I Go To Sleep - review

As an amnesiac following an accident, Christine (Nicole Kidman) starts everyday not knowing who she is or anything about her life.

Aided by a daily morning phone call from her psychiatrist, Doctor Nasch (Mark Strong), Christine is guided towards a camera she keeps hidden on which she records herself relaying information she’s learnt to help her remember what she’s forgotten.

With no idea who she can really trust or rely on, with Dr Nasch’s help Christine begins to trigger memories from her past and starts to question things her husband Ben (Colin Firth) has told her. But as she learns more about her past and reconnects with an old friend Claire, Christine starts to realise she’s been lied to and has to quickly learn who to trust before her life is once again in danger.

This psychological thriller was right up my street and literally had me sitting on the edge of my seat. The tension and storyline had me gripped from the start and just like Christine; I couldn’t work out who to trust. It was also good to see Colin Firth in a different role than I’ve seen him in before.

Definitely a movie to watch if you like to be kept guessing.
